Located in the Texas Hill Country between Fredericksburg and Stonewall, Becker Vineyards was established in 1992 by Richard and Bunny Becker. The vineyard was planted on a site of native Mustang grapes much prized for winemaking by German neighbors and their ancestors. Also planted on site is a three acre lavender field reminiscent of the wine country of Provence, France.

The Blanco River Lavender Company has been growing its 3,000 lavender plants since April 2005, but the family's farming and ranching roots are more than 100 years deep in the Central Texas soil. Designated as a "Texas Century Ranch" by the Texas Agriculture Commissioner and registered in the "Texas Family Land Heritage Program," owners Stephen and Kennie Smith are proud to welcome visitors to the Blanco River Lavender farm that has been in continuous operation for more than a century by the same family.

Hill Country Lavender is Blanco's original commercial lavender farm. Owner Tasha Brieger has been involved with the farm since 1999 when the first lavender sprig was planted at the original location, owned at the time by National Geographic photographer Robb Kendrick and author Jeannie Ralston. After serving as the farm's manager for several years, Tasha purchased Hill Country Lavender and relocated the farm just north of Blanco on Highway 281, behind McCall Creek Farms.

Hummingbird Farms is a working farm located on U.S. Highway 290 between Johnson City & Fredericksburg. Owners Jack & Debi Williams planted their first lavender field in 2003 after researching various lavender cultivars for optimal essential oil production. Now Texas' largest lavender farm, Jack & Debi owe their lavender business success to their deep-rooted commitment of preserving Texas' agricultural heritage taught to them by their grandfathers.

Miller Creek Lavender is an evolving dream of owners Karen and Don Roets. The 12.5-acre farm, located near the intersection of Highways 281 and 290 north of Blanco, has grown from a love of gardening to a passion for creating a peaceful, Hill Country haven of 6,000 lavender plants. A three-acre field features nine varieties of lavender. In addition to lavender, Miller Creek offers a butterfly garden, a variety garden that includes 70 types of lavender, a developing Biblical garden, a blackberry patch, and plenty of shady areas to relax and unwind.

Texas Lavender Hills, owned and operated by Jill and Doak Hunter, features a Zen-like garden atmosphere on the hilltop retreat that offers a superb view of Twin Sisters Peak. The Hunters planted 3,800 sprigs of lavender in 2004, wrapping the plants around a very steep hilltop. The Hunter family has been involved with agriculture on this land for more than three generations. They were eager to use the land in a new and different way by planting lavender.
