A four-year-long investigation led to the arrest of Charles Sean Omalley, owner of Vintage Travelers Airstream Restoration, for several offenses in multiple states, including a Third Degree Felony charge of Theft by Deception in Johnson City.
Johnson City Police Department began receiving complaints against Omalley in 2012 relating to Vintage Travelers Airstream Restoration located on US Hwy 281, north of the Pedernales River Bridge.
Johnson City, Texas – Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) announced it was recently awarded a $1 million grant from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service for habitat conservation planning assistance.
The funds will be used to research and develop a 30-year habitat conservation plan for the protection of 34 species across 5 million acres of the cooperative’s service territory in 21 Texas counties.

A phone scam is targeting Johnson City residents, using local numbers to steal identifying information.
On Tuesday October 18, 2016 a Johnson City woman reported a suspicious call to the Sheriff’s office.
The woman reported that a man called her from a local number, stating he was with a law firm and needed to serve her legal paper.
The Johnson City Library is currently hosting an exhibit of 38 photographs by renowned Texas photographer, Russell Lee. Lee’s first interest was in engineering and painting, but he gave up painting in favor of photography in 1935. His growing interest in social conditions led him to join the photographic unit of the Federal Farm Security Administration, to whose archive he contributed more images than any other photographer.
Johnson City traveled to Rogers Friday night to face the Eagles in a key district game. The winner would have an inside track to the state playoffs. The Eagles from Rogers would prevail and put Johnson City in a situation where they must win at least two of their next three games to make the playoffs.
Johnson City kicked off to Rogers and the hometown Eagles ran their wing T offense to perfection driving down to the Johnson City 12-yard line.
One Day 4-H A Success - Thank You for Your Support!
On Saturday, October 8th the Hill Country Spurs 4-H Club participated in an event called One Day 4-H as they joined with thousands of 4-H’ers across the state of Texas to work to make a difference in their communities and beyond during that great One Day event.
