Baines House

If you’d like to relax and sleep in beauty and history, you can’t do better than the Baines House in Salado. This is a lot more than lodging. Built in the 1860s, the Baines House was once the home of Reverend George Washington Baines, the great grandfather of President Lyndon Baines Johnson. If that’s not enough history for you, how about this: Baines was a key figure in early Texas.
