Fabulous Food and a view of Cypress Creek at Ino’z

There's a cool and eclectic restaurant with a view of Wimberley's picturesque Cypress Creek that beckons visitors from the second they set their eyes on the place.

Welcome to Ino'z — a hip eatery surrounded by arguably the best view in the Texas Hill Country.

"We dropped in today with the kids for a hamburger and it was fabulous," observed Kate Jones of Austin. "The buns on these burgers are amazing and the view from the deck was really laid back. This is why Wimberley is so popular."

But the best part, Jones said, was exploring the grounds with her children — an experience she described as "magical."

It is little wonder why Jones was so impressed. For years, Ino'z has been a Wimberley favorite because it has great food, tasty suds and a completely chilled atmosphere. In addition to one of the finest stretches of Cypress Creek to be found in that little piece of heaven they call Wimberley, Ino'z boasts some amazing chainsaw art by Craig Johnson that will enchant anyone who casts a gaze on the masterpieces.

Due to a flood, a few of the ancient cypress trees on the canopy-covered property died. Rather than destroy the trees, owners Tom Keyser and Jeremie Maxwell commissioned Johnson to turn them into art — a most fitting memorial to such noble trees. Generations enjoyed the trees when they lived and now generations will see their magnificence in a new light.

Back on the deck at Ino'z, everybody is laid back and enjoying perfect weather on an amazing afternoon, which is enhanced by a staff that has been schooled to provide excellent service. Inside, patrons are watching a basketball game on one of the many flat-screen television at the restaurant. Ino'z has tons of atmosphere inside and out.

Ino'z has a variety of menu offerings including fresh salads, an array of great sandwiches and entrees that include tender baby back ribs, fried catfish, a choice ribeye, as well as that Texas tradition — chicken fried steak. They also have chicken fried chicken. They even have one of the best veggie burgers on the planet.

Ino'z is a perfect place for a beer and outstanding con queso with chips. Add your favorite beer or ale, sit beside Cypress Creek, and suffice it to say, this is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening. No need for airs here. Casual dress is the order of the day. The menu is affordable on any budget.

Ino'z is easily found. It is in the heart of the Wimberley Square on Ranch Road 12. Just pass through the gate and wind your way down the easy stairs to the restaurant. Find out more by calling 512-847-6060 or visit www.inozwimberley.com. No need for reservations.
