The Highland Lakes Democratic Women (HLDW) will hold their monthly meeting on March 24th at Meadowlakes Restaurant, 220 Meadowlakes Dr. Members and guests may sign in by 11:30 a.m. and will be served at about 11:45. A short business meeting will be conducted before the guest speaks at noon.

This month's guest speaker is Stephanie Lockte Ertel who is running for State Representative in District 53 (which includes Llano County as well as 11 other counties). She is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University, holds an MS in political science from the University of North Texas, and a law degree from SMU. Her focus is voter participation, environmental issues, public education, health insurance, and economic opportunities. She has been a teacher, has a sustainable off-grid home, is a volunteer advocate with Hill Country CASA, a volunteer mediator, and a member of the Hill Country Chorale.
