Stonewall, Texas – Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park has announced that park staff will present additional new programming to visitors at the LBJ Ranch from Saturday, March 7 through Sunday, March 15. Spring Break at the LBJ Ranch 2015 will offer park visitors many opportunities to further explore and discover the park's historic resources and delve deeper into the story of the 36th president and the LBJ Ranch.
Visitors can join park staff to learn about the important role aviation and the US Secret Service played at the ranch, become more familiar with President Johnson's environmental and education legacy, explore some of the natural features of the park, acquire photographic tips and tricks from a seasoned photographer, and hear behind-the-scenes stories about the challenges and rewards of historic preservation in national parks. Programs will be offered free of charge at locations throughout the LBJ Ranch including the Junction School, Show Barn, the historic Hangar building, and around the Texas White House complex. Programs will run 15-25 minutes in length and will be scheduled at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm each day from March 7 through March 15.
Texas White House tours will continue to be offered beginning at 10:00 am until 4:30 pm. Tours are $3.00 per person 18 and over. Children under 17 are free.
