Exciting news! The blue residential trash carts we see each week placed curbside are being replaced with brand new green carts from Waste Management (WM) the City’s waste collection company. Starting Monday April 5 please place your current blue cart curbside for normal garbage pickup on your normal day. No change in your normal weekly routine required.
John Woessner had a hole in one on the 13th hole at Slick Rock, sinking a 6-iron from 160 yards for his second career ace. The shot was witnessed by Tom Kundinger, Jim Livingston and David Bankston. John was playing in the Tuesday Horton game and won the Superskin pot worth $325, most of which he then spent buying drinks for his 43 fellow competitors.

It started off with a public service announcement that the Llano Library is offering fine amnesty from April 1-30 in honor of National Library Week. Fines will be excused for overdue books and materials that have been previously checked out from the library.

On Wednesday, March 23, LCRA received test results from blue-green algae samples taken from five Highland Lakes – lakes Buchanan, Inks, LBJ, Marble Falls and Travis – on March 16 and 17.
The tests detected cyanotoxins, which are emitted by blue-green algae and can be fatal to dogs, in algae samples from Inks Lake, Lake Marble Falls and Lake Travis.
“The key here is not to let your guard down,’’ said John Hofmann, LCRA executive vice president of Water.
