Festival in Dripping Springs Celebrates Hill Country Living

The Hill Country Living FESTIVAL + Rainwater Revival returns to the Dripping Spring Ranch Park on Saturday, April 4, from 10am to 5pm. This free, one-day event promises something for everyone who loves the Texas Hill Country — whether you call it home now, plan to make it home in the future, or just like to visit and play here.

The Hill Country Alliance, FESTIVAL planner and host, has once again packed the day with fun things to do and good things to learn about living lightly in our precious Hill Country.

Attractions include a large green living trade show/vendor hall, a Hill Country Marketplace for artists and artisans, a native plant sale, exhibits and demonstrations from the Texas Night Sky Festival® team, and numerous opportunities to learn more about rainwater capture, water conservation, renewable energy, green home building, sustainable products, land stewardship, and more.

The FESTIVAL offers several hands-on learning opportunities. Build-Your-Own Rain Barrel is a morning workshop that teaches participants how to transform a 55-gallon barrel into a rain-capturing machine.

The afternoon workshop provides an Introduction to Bees and Beekeeping taught by Two Hives Honey. These activities require a nominal fee and separate registration found at RainwaterRevival.com.

Other attractions include an electric vehicle showcase, the Mobile River Learning Center, the Citizen Science Circle, Chicken Farm, tricked-out travel trailers, great food from Alice’s Restaurant at Treaty Oak, wine tastings from Hill Country wineries, and some toe-tapping Texas music.

Come taste, sip, shop, dance, and explore your way through the Hill Country with us!
