Family Fun & BBQ

The Goldthwaite State Championship BBQ and Goat Cook-off, sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbecue Society, provides two days of fun, entertainment and food on April 23rd and 24th. While some contestents are grilling goats, others are competing for prizes showing off their goat’s best outfits.

Enjoy old fashion family fun with lots of activities for kids, food, music, washer tourney and dancing under the stars. You’ll even be able to participate in the Bloody Mary Challenge.

The Best Dressed Goat contest will most definitely provide some great Kodak moments. And no goat cook off is complete until you try a serving of goat meat.
