Reveille Peak Ranch (RPR) has over 100k in trails, that’s over 60 miles of trail. RPR trails were designed and built by Trail Party for all levels of riding, beginner to expert; single-track, double-track, downhill, pump track, or ranch roads. It features a variety of trails and expert jumps for mountain, trail, enduro, downhill, road, BMX, cyclo-cross, or gravel grinder. “Spider Mountain, Texas’ first and only lift-served mountain bike park and the only lift-served, year-round mountain bike park in the U.S.” has nine trails rated like ski slopes. Green for easy progressing to Double Black for Advanced. If you are a beginner both Reveille Peak Ranch and Spider Mountain have locations for riders to ease into the next level of trail riding safely.
For downhill trails, there must be a top. Each park offers views of the vast countryside overlooking Lake Buchanan. Each park has mobile bike services available during events such as the upcoming Downhill Series or the Texas Gravity Enduro Series. Each has a mode of transportation to take bikers to the top. Spider Mountain hours of operation are Friday-Monday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for lift-served, downhill mountain biking, and Tuesday-Thursday from dawn ’til dusk for uphill access to trails. Purchasing lift tickets online will save you 40%. Riders who choose not to ride the lift still need to purchase a day pass. Kids 10 & under are free, Youth & Senior (11-18 and 60+) $15, Adults $20. Reveille Peak Ranch hours of operation are Monday – Wednesday, Friday-Sunday open 24 hrs. On Thursdays, trails are closed from sunrise to noon for trail maintenance. Check their calendar for trail closures due to special events www.rprtexas.com. RPR pricing is as follows for day passes: children (0-5) free, children (-11) $5, Adults (12+) $10.
