Boerne Professional Artists (BPA) will host their premier Art Show & Sale in the Cana Ballroom of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on October 16 through 18 of this year. With more than 50 talented artists participating, it will be the largest in the 13-year history of this event.
Bringing Halloween Fun to Comfort
After nine great years at the Boerne Visitor Center, the Harvest Moon Celebration will be bringing its fall harvest and Halloween festivities to a larger venue at Muleshoe Farm & Ranch at 306 Highway 87 in Comfort, approximately two miles north on Highway 87 from exit 523 on IH-10. The public is invited to enjoy this lively, old world day of fun and celebration on Halloween, October 31, from noon untilo 9 p.m.
With Gold Young Cast From All Over the Hill Country
Some will remember the film that starred Patrick Swayze, Ralph Macchio, C. Thomas Howell and Diane Lane, but many will also remember reading the book either in school or for pleasure at the library. The author is a 16 year old girl from Tulsa, Oklahoma who writes about the way life was in her teen years during the 1960s.

Put on your dancing boots and head over to the LBJ Ranch on Saturday, October 24, for the annual "Barbecue on the Pedernales." Co-hosted by the National Park Service and Friends of Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, this event continues a Johnson family tradition of Texas hospitality at the LBJ Ranch.
Blanco Performing Arts is pleased to announce the lineup of performers for its sixth season, entitled, "A Few of My Favorite Things." Concerts will be held in the beautiful Uptown Blanco Ballroom located at 503 Third Street in Blanco. The season kicks off on November 7 at 7:30 p.m. with an outstanding group, the MirĂ³ Quartet.
As a special event this fall, the Hill Country Community Theatre will host actor Lisa Dalton as she presents a new translation of the Anton Chekhov short story The Darling. This unique one-person show, directed by Victor S. Tkachenko, has been performed in cities around the country, including Los Angeles, Fort Worth, and in New York as part of the New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC). The play is a touching love story that follows the life of the character Olenka as she fantasizes ...
We have been asked why our Hill Country Antiques Shows are so popular and there are many answers to that question. First answer is that our dealers make the difference. They arrive with smiles and knowledge, both of which they share with the collectors coming to the show. The hospitality of the neighbors and businesses in Comfort welcome them and the true country setting is a treat from the hectic city shows.
In 1987 the citizens of Blanco took on a huge challenge when they voted to keep The Old Blanco County Courthouse on Blanco's Historic Town Square for the benefit and use of the community. In the hands of the then newly- formed Old Blanco County Courthouse Preservation Society, the historic Courthouse, built in 1885, found a new lease on life and has become an integral part of the community.

Buggy Barn Museum is family owned and operated and located in the beautiful Hill Country of Blanco. Buggy Barn Museum is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing a unique educational opportunity to step back in time to the late 1800s and early 1900s and view the carriages, wagons and buggies that played such a significant role in the country's history, development, and heritage.
