The cooler weather of fall and winter doesn’t just mean the leaves have started to change colors; there are still plenty of things to do here. In the fall, the brilliantl reds, golds and orange colors inspire the artist in everyone with a palette of colors that even the Catskills, the Great Smoky Mountains, and the Ozarks would envy.

The 2017 Texas Mesquite Arts Festival returns to Fredericksburg, Texas, on October 13, 14 and 15. Juried artists from around Texas and beyond will gather in Fredericksburg’s Marktplatz for a three-day celebration of the exquisite and attractive mesquite. The festival, like mesquite wood itself, has come a long way since the first event in 1992.

Love the Fall Season? Nobody celebrates fall better than Love Creek Orchards, home of the Great Hill Country Pumpkin Patch. Love Creek Orchards; pioneers of the Texas Apple industry will be hosting the Great Hill Country Pumpkin Patch for 24th year beginning October 7th. . The 4th Annual Dripping Springs Songwriters Festival is back, October 20 – October 22nd The Festival will have over 60 FREE elite songwriter showcases featuring over 45 songwriters from all over the US and internationally. They will be telling the story behind and performing their original songs in 6 intimate venues in the Historic District of downtown Dripping Springs.

Historic Building Materials began in 2013, due to an addiction. Whether or not that addiction is bad, depends entirely upon who you ask! After erecting a circa 1850 Wisconsin barn on his ranch, Jim Cauthen decided one barn wasn’t nearly enough to satisfy his love for reclaimed wood. He soon talked his life-long friend, Gary Lamb, into partnering on a business venture that would later become Historic Building Materials.

The Rainwater Revival + Hill Country Living Festival – an annual event of the Hill Country Alliance – returns to the Dripping Spring Ranch Park on Saturday, November 4, from 10am to 5pm. It’s free and family friendly. This event is a major expansion from the past seven years of Rainwater Revival, now with a broader focus on the programs of the Hill Country Alliance – water, land, night sky and community.
