The Commemorative Air Force hosts Warbirds at Gillespie County Airport in Fredericksburg September 4-7
San Marcos, Texas (August 7, 2015) – It’s been 70 years since the US Army Air Force lifted into the air to create the largest air armada ever to fill the skies during World War II, but on Friday through Monday September 4 through 7, five rare WWII warbirds will be roaring over Fredericksburg, Texas.

The music, the crafts, and the camping begin on Friday September 4th and continue through the evening concert on Sunday September 6th. The Kennedy Theater Mainstage concerts include a wide range of fun bands like Dana Louise and the Glorious Birds (Dana is the daughter of Ezra Idlet one half of the famed duo Trout Fishing in America.

Warbirds Over Hondo Ready to Take Flight
On May 16, 2015, Armed Forces Day, Warbirds Over Hondo will commence!
Each year, the Tex Hill Wing of the Commemorative Air Force hosts this event, bringing World War II aircraft to Hondo for the public to see, hear, and touch.
Featuring Aerial Acts by Kyle Franklin, among others, the airshow will begin at 10:30am, and will run until approximately 2:30pm.
The Fredericksburg Jaycees are excited to announce the return of their annual Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival to Fredericksburg Marktplatz on Memorial Day weekend, May 22-24.
The festival will include many activities for the entire family including a variety of great Cajun food, live music, and a children's carnival. Festival times are as follows: Friday 6pm to midnight, Saturday 11am-Midnight, and Sunday 12pm to 6pm.
