Maris Lynne Long (nee Ward), passed away peacefully the evening of Monday, March 15, 2021, at the age of 78, after a brief illness. A staple of Horseshoe Bay civic and social circles for over 30 years, Maris Lynne touched the lives of countless people across the community, and was beloved of any and all who had the profound good fortune to know her personally. Maris Lynne was born Feb.1943 in Detroit, Michigan, only child to Lynn and Eudora Ward.
Betty Jean Harmsen of Horseshoe Bay, passed away on March 13, 2021, surrounded by her family, after fighting for over a week to recover from a ruptured brain aneurism. Betty was born on December 18, 1941, in Harvey, Illinois, to Opal Wayne and Marie Frazer. She grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1959.
Arthur Louis Snell, 93, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2021, in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Art, as he was known to friends and family, was born Aug. 19, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Vincent Adelan Snell and Suzanne Dillon Snell. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joy Brittingham Snell; his six children, Edward John Snell, Carol Jean Goodlett, Susan Snell Maldonado, Christopher Dillon Snell, Steven Brittingham Snell and Michael Tad Snell; and by his 12 grandchildren Sophia, Trevor, ...
Glenna Killian Moore passed away in the early hours on Friday, the 15th of January 2021, at her home in Piney Point Village. Progressing heart failure finally ended her life. She was a Memorial Villages resident for 62 years having moved from Baytown with her husband and children. Born in Oklahoma, in 1930, she moved to Texas in 1952 after her husband’s graduation from university. Joe Robert Williams, III, 78, of Sunrise Beach, TX, formerly of San Antonio, TX passed away on November 19, 2020. He was born on September 15, 1942 to Joe Robert Williams Jr. and Merdell Conaway in Georgetown, TX. Mr. Williams was a beloved science teacher at Rhodes Middle School for over 33 years for the San Antonio ISD.
