Community Cupboard Fights Local Hunger
PEC Executive Assistant Audri Nelson helps stock the cooperative’s first Hill Country Community Cupboard, located at the corner of E. Ladybird Lane and S. Avenue F in Johnson City. The cupboard will house non-perishable food items and personal goods stocked voluntarily by the community and PEC employees. Members of the community can take what they need or leave donations in the cupboard for their fellow neighbors.
Pedernales Electric Cooperative today announced the Hill Country Community Cupboard project to help address the Hill Country’s food insecurity through community-sponsored food cupboards.
