Surplus School Supplies Collection
Brooke Beal (l) and Lillian Sanders were among the youth at the First United Methodist Church who made collection boxes for the leftover school supplies students normally toss at the end of the year. By fall, they’ll have it in a poor school district where having paper and pencil is required for a kid to go back to class; without them, his or her education may be over forever.
