A multi-generational Living Nativity Pageant
Three-year-old (almost four!) Maya Jane Simpson of Austin came to Johnson City to visit grandma Paige Whittaker, help her practice her carols and sing with the Community Choir, see the Living Nativity Pageant at the First United Methodist Church, and get a tour of the church’s display of nativity sets to see how all the parts of the holiday connect back to the meaning for Christmas.
Johnson City’s Living Nativity Pageant wound up its season of 20 performances Saturday night, drawing a total audience of just under 2,000 for the year. Not a record, but not far from it.
