TCEQ Gets Green Light to Drill Monitor Wells

Commissioners okayed the placement of four groundwater monitoring wells in the right-of-way on some county roads in Kingsland, as part of an ongoing investigation of groundwater contamination emanating from a state superfund site, located in the 900 block of 1431. A Superfund site is an 'uncontrolled or abandoned place where hazardous waste is located, possibly affecting local ecosystems or people.'
