Mac Edwards is officially the superintendent of Llano ISD. Edwards was awarded a three-year contract Tuesday by the LISD board of trustees, after the 21-day mandatory waiting period had expired. He was named the lone finalist for the position last month. Edwards will officially begin his duties July 1 in Llano. Edwards comes to Llano from Paradise ISD in north Texas, where he was superintendent. The new LISD superintendent has been in the education field for more than two decades.
