Increase in city water, sewer rates to take place Oct. 1
Water and sewer rates in the City of Llano will increase starting Oct. 1. City council members voted Monday to approve a change in the master fee schedule to include increases in water and wastewater rates. The base water rate will climb from $28.50 to $42 per month, while the base sewer rate will rise from $39 to $68 per month. “The city has been operating water and sewer at about a $330,000 deficit for several, several years,” said councilor Sammy Leverett.
