Ethan West, a 22-year-old barber from Mason, is off on an adventure of a lifetime. He began his kayak trip near Junction at Telegraph and 700 Springs and plans on ending up in Matagorda Bay in about three weeks. The trip is roughly 541 miles and to his knowledge, it has not been done before, especially by one person alone. I met up with West at Scott's Slab where he was taking a bit of a breather.
