Excitement is in the air as things are really gearing up for the upcoming 112th Annual Kendall County Fair. The Fair will be held Labor Day Weekend and will have the Queen’s Court crowning on Thursday, August 31.
The doors open at 5 pm on Friday, September 1 and there will be all day entertainment in the form of music, magic and ventriloquist acts, and all sorts of activities through Sunday, September 3.
Saturday morning will be the annual Fair Parade through downtown Boerne.
Don’t miss Labor Day weekend in Bandera, Cowboy Capital of the World! Bandera’s cowboy heritage is especially celebrated during Labor Day weekend. In the late 1800’s, Bandera became a major gathering place for over 10 million head of Longhorn cattle. The Longhorns were gathered and herded via the famous Western Trail to northern railheads in Nebraska, Montana and even Canada.

The quaint Texas Hill Country town of Bertram is preparing itself for this year’s annual Labor Day event, their 40th Annual Oatmeal Festival. The festival begins Friday, Sept. 1, at 5:03 pm in the nearby town of Oatmeal, and continues all day Saturday in Bertram.
