Peaches are in season May-September in the Texas Hill Country. Freestone varieties are quite popular starting in the middle of June, usually around the Jamboree. Most fruit stands offer peaches already picked along with fresh produce, ice cream, pies, and preserves locally made with family recipes. Starting May 27, visitors will be able to make camping reservations at parks with arrival dates between June 1 and Sept. 7.
