Burnet County Fair Set for June 9-11
The Burnet County Fair and Rodeo Association are celebrating “The Golden Years” with a 50th anniversary celebration, June 9th, 10th and 11th, 2016. All Fair events will be held at Burnet Community Center or the Hill Country Foundation Building, located at 401 E. Jackson Street. The Burnet County Rodeo will be held at the Houston Clinton Arena located at 1301 Houston Clinton Drive, Burnet, Texas.

The first Llano Rodeo was held in 1919 west of town where T.J. Moore’s pecan orchard is now, on the old picnic grounds, as it was called back then. Steer Roping, Bull and Steer riding, Bronco riding, and bulldogging were some of the first events. In 1933 the rodeo was moved to Robinson Park where it was located for a couple of more years.
Kerrville once again will become the center of the Texas Art Scene Memorial Weekend as a variety of arts events will take place throughout the city and the surrounding area.
The 13th Annual Texas Masters of Fine Art and Craft Invitational Show will be held Friday, May 27, through Sunday, May 29, as 25 award-winning Texas artists transform the ballrooms of the Y.O.

The annual Herb Fiesta will be held in New Braunfels on May 14th from 9am until 4pm. Herb Fiesta is sponsored by the New Braunfels Conservation Society, Comal Master Gardeners and Hill Country Nursery.
The herb of the year is the Jalapeno. The Comal Master Gardeners will provide pepper plants samples with information on each pepper.
FREDERICKSBURG, TX- The Fredericksburg Jaycees are excited to announce the return of their annual Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival to Fredericksburg Marktplatz on Memorial Day weekend, May 27-29.
The festival will include many activities for the entire family including a variety of great Cajun food, live music, and a children’s carnival. Festival times are as follows: Friday 6pm to midnight, Saturday 11am-midnight, and Sunday noon to 6pm.
