Frog Pond Frolic

Join a ranger for a short hike out to Frog Pond and explore some of the aquatic life of the park!Bring your hiking boots, sun protection, and sense of curiosity for this Sunday morning exploration of Frog Pond! Sights include native birds, frogs, snakes, and insects who call the small aquatic part of our park home. If you'd like to picnic by the pond afterwards, pack a lunch and some hand sanitizer! This hike will be about 1.14 miles in length and features our Frontside, Loop, and Connecting Trails. Meet: Gazebo at Summit TrailheadBring: Water, sunscreen, hat, bug spray, comfortable hiking shoes. Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. Purchase day passes online ahead of time to guarantee entry. Registration: No registration is required for this event.
