Economy Enjoying Upward Swing
If December's sales tax rebate numbers released by outgoing Texas Comptroller Susan Combs are any indication, there's plenty to celebrate this New Year where federal, state and even the local economy are concerned. Combs said that state sales tax revenue in November was $2.66 billion, up 10.7 percent compared to November 2013.
