Johnson City's YCAP announced that they will hold their 5th Annual EPIC New Year's Eve celebration again this year.
There will be two separate parties, one for Middle Schoolers and one for High School. The party for Middle School will begin at 6:30 pm and will end at 9:30pm at which time the high school party will begin and last from 9:30 pm until ???

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Transportation reminds motorists that law enforcement will be out in force on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in an effort to reduce crashes and discourage drunk driving.
"The New Year's Eve holiday has historically been a dangerous time on our roadways," said TxDOT Executive Director LtGen Joe Weber, USMC (Ret).
The Lady Eagles are off to a good start to the season with an 8-8 record going into the holidays. The Lady Eagles are led by the Capra sisters, with Annamarie averaging 9.9 points a game and Audrey averaging 10.2 points per game. Kayli Trahan is contributing 8.8 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per game.
The Ladies competed well in the Johnson City Tournament finishing third.
If December's sales tax rebate numbers released by outgoing Texas Comptroller Susan Combs are any indication, there's plenty to celebrate this New Year where federal, state and even the local economy are concerned.
Combs said that state sales tax revenue in November was $2.66 billion, up 10.7 percent compared to November 2013.
"The growth in sales tax collections was fueled by increased remittances from both business and consumer driven sectors,"
