May ballot set for City, ISD elections

Both the Johnson City and the Johnson City Independent School District (JCISD) have called an election for Saturday, May 9 and both entities will feature contested elections. While the Blanco-Pedernales Groundwater Conservation District had two seats currently held by board vice-president Don Casey and secretary Rebecca Brown, the two open seats will be uncontested, so, in keeping with state law, that election has been cancelled.
