The City Park is prepped and ready to celebrate summer alongside children and their families. The facilities are availible to be rented for events and parties through City Hall.

The city park on Nugent Ave. is ready for summer with the pool open for the season along with freshly painted pickleball courts and new playground equipment. “We were swamped Friday,” said Kristi Monkhouse, Johnson City Pool Manager about the pool’s opening day, Friday June 1. In the years she’s been Pool Manager for Johnson City, she’s noticed the pool stays busy through the month of June and slowing down in July and August when temperatures start to hit their peak.
