The November 6 issue of the paper noted continuing development of the new Community Resource Center, boasting “free” space and services to be provided by federal, state and non-profit agencies at the new facility. I want to remind journalists and readers that any services provided by federal and state agencies are never “free,” and that those provided by non-profit agencies are even more costly to taxpayers because they consume public resources without paying their dues (taxes).
