Blaine Schwartz held the lumber while Samantha Jacks fixed in in place as part of a wheelchair ramp built for a Johnson City Vietnam vet who could no longer get in or out of his home without help. That’s build-boss David Hamm overseeing the work. The volunteers, organized through the First United Methodist Church, build ramps for those who need them but can’t afford to pay for them.
