Blanco County shooting leaves Army veteran, former firefighter dead
A shooting in Blanco County on Saturday night left an Army veteran and former Blanco County volunteer firefighter dead and his family in mourning. Donald Boumans, 25, was allegedly shot and killed by his step-father, James “Jim” Mayer Harris Jr., 63, said Chief Deputy Neal Leonard with the Blanco County Sheriff’s Office Monday. “The case is still being investigated,” Leonard said.
