The Blanco County unemployment rate continues to drop as it once again leads the nine-county Rural Capital Area. Blanco County’s unemployment rate for August was 3.3 percent, according to figures released Friday by the Texas Workforce Commission. The county’s rate has fallen 0.8 percent in the last two months. The unemployment rate was 4.1 percent in June and 3.7 percent in July. The nine-county region’s August unemployment rate was 3.9 percent, falling from 4.3 percent in July.
