Continuing to examine the unique aspects of Llano County from PAST years and in PRESENT times brings the project alphabetically to the letters "V" through "Z." "V" is for VINES. Llano County has always been home to native grape vines, mainly the Mustang Grape. Its fruit was a big part of the year-around diet of the early settlers, and almost every adult I knew when I was a kid also took advantage of the fruit's availability.
