Who’s Mother Neff? That’s the question Allan C. Kimball asked himself as he passed the Mother Neff State Park sign near Moody, Texas. That started him wondering how the other120 State Parks got their names, which resulted in his book, Who is Mother Neff and why is she a state park? Kimball shared some of his research with the Woman’s Culture Club of Llano at their monthly meeting by giving a brief history of Mother Neff and how many of the state parks got their names.
