Sales tax revenues continue to rise locally
All local municipalities posted increases in sales tax revenues distributed in January 2017 over receipts received in January 2016. The statewide average increase in sales tax revenues distributed this month were up 4.83 percent over the same period last year, but local cities’ increases far surpassed the statewide rate.
