Council adopts policy governing right-of-way banners
Kathryn Stephenson, left, was sworn into office as a city councilwoman at Monday’s meeting by Mayor Gail Lang. Stephenson was appointed to the office earlier this month to fill the unexpired term of Lang, who resigned from her council seat after she was voted mayor.

The Llano City Council approved a street banner policy at its meeting Monday night. The new policy allows organizations to have a banner up within 60 days of an event above up to four TxDOT right-of-ways in town, after an application is approved. The four locations are Hwy. 29 at Chattanooga Street, Hwy.
