Robinson Park Lake to be drained for removal of sand, endangered mussels
Robinson Park Lake will soon contain a lot less water. The draining of the lake for the removal of sand and endangered mussels could begin as early as Monday or Tuesday of next week, City Manager Scott Edmonson told the city council on Monday night. It will be refilled by the time Crawfish Open starts in April, at the very latest. In order to gain a permit to allow the lake to be drained for the sand removal, an environmental study was completed, which discovered endangered mussels.
