With Starry Starry Nights underway at Badu Park, visitors are encouraged to visit and have hot chocolate, roast marshmallows, and on Friday and Saturday, see Santa Claus!
This Saturday, Santa Claus will make his annual appearance in Llano’s Lighted Christmas Parade, set to begin at dark on the Llano City Square.
The fun actually begins Saturday morning with the Annual Reindeer Fun Run.
The Llano Country Opry will be staged at Lantex Theater in downtown Llano on Saturday, December 12. There will be two performances with the Award Winning Bellamy Brothers beginning at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM. Admission is $20.00 per person.

Felix Finds Christmas this year in our Logos Christmas Musical. He actually finds much more than that. The theme this year is centered on orphans. Capital Farm Credit’s Board of Directors approved a $39.9 million cash retirement of allocated equities issued in 2009. Borrowers with loans in 2009 will receive their share of the cash payment in checks mailed this month.
Combined with the $72 million cash patronage paid in March of this year, we will have returned total cash distributions of more than $111.8 million to our members in 2015.
Ella Louise Mastin, 92, of Sunrise Beach Village, Texas, formally of Kingsville, Texas died November 25, 2015. She was born to Henry T. and Thelma Louise (Updegraff) Jamison on October 22, 1923 in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Mrs. Mastin worked as a secretary to the Secretary of the Kansas State Federation of Labor and the Sinclair Refining Company and was a secretary of the Kingsville Independent School District for 19 years.
Ronald Lance Naylor, 70, of Kingsland, Texas passed away on November 24, 2015. He was born to James Naylor and Patricia Naylor Purcell on May 20, 1945 in Pomona, California.
He is survived by his younger brother, James Craige Naylor and wife Toni Naylor of Starr, Idaho. Also surviving are his three daughters, Natalie Naylor Holloway and husband Jeff Holloway of Darlington, Maryland, Laci Naylor Box and husband Greg ...
Donald Murchison of Buchanan Dam passed away peacefully at home Thursday November 26, 2015 at the age of 79. He was born June 12, 1936 to Oscar and Willie Mae (Bill) Murchison in Burnet, Texas.
Donald married Dorothy Louise Campbell on Sept. 7, 1957 in Leander, Texas.
He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan Dam. He was a director of the Burnet County Fair and Rodeo Association for many years and a founding member of the Buchanan Dam Volunteer Fire Department.

Elizabeth Adeline Carothers, 101, passed away in Houston, Texas on November 28, 2015. Elizabeth (Liz) was born August 13, 1914, in Houston. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William F Carothers. Together they made their retirement home at Sunrise Beach, Lake LBJ, for over 30 years where she was active in Ladies Auxiliary and bridge and SkipBo clubs.
Liz loved the movies, dancing, flower arranging, scrapbooking, and watching tennis on television.
Services for Doris (Sis) Kay, 81, of Temple will be 10:00 am on Saturday December 5, 2015 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Temple. Interment will be at 2:00 pm at Bluffton Cemetery in Bluffton, Texas. Doris Kay passed away on November 23, 2015 peacefully at her home.
Doris was born on October 11, 1934 to Leo and Lorene Williams in Hereford, Texas.
Thanksgiving 2015 has come and gone! In fact, it’s so fresh on our mind, we can still smell the turkey and dressing baking in the oven as the scent of pumpkin pies and sweet potatoes permeate the house. Wednesday night and Thursday morning were busy, busy times for some members of the household, while others no doubt slept a little longer than usual since there was no school for children and most businesses had closed.
