The Mason Square Museum is honored to have a variety of guns on display, from rifles to shotguns to pistols. One such gun is a dual valve shotgun brought to Mason from Germany in or about 1854 by Robert Zesch. This remarkable shotgun is on loan by Jordan and Blan Zesch. The summary of the gun says that in Mason County’s early days, women and children were often left alone on isolated farms while the men were traveling or working away from home.
