At a special meeting March 4, Mason’s school board voted on a hiring timeline that would have a new superintendent start in August of this year. At their Monday night meeting, Mason Independent School District (MISD) board members approved the hiring of the Education Service Center (ESC) Region 15 of San Angelo, to conduct the Superintendent search for the district. Dr. Casey Callahan is Executive Director of ESC Region 15 and also a Mason native. He presented the board members with a detailed overview of how the search would be conducted.

The award-winning Mason High School Theatre Program has been dedicating hours of preparation to their UIL One-Act Play entry for 2022. They have had opportunities to perform dress rehearsals for three clinicians who offered their input on the production. All suggestions are carefully considered as the company continues to polish their work for the March 1 contest to be held here in Mason. MHS hopes to repeat a trip to State in 2022.

Thanks to the generous contributions of many donors and businesses in our amazing community at last fall’s “Cattle Round-Up,” held at Jordan Livestock Auction, the Foundation was able to fulfill over $24,000 in grant requests.
