Since the first of the year, the Mason County Sheriff's Department has been extremely busy with multiple felony arrests, and a weekend investigation into the accidental death of three hunters at a camp south of town. Initial reports from the accident investigation revealed no foul play. The two men and one woman had been using a propane heater that had run low on gas, causing the pilot light to go out.
