The Lion’s Roar
The Mason Lions Club met April 18 for its weekly luncheon meeting. 25 members attended the meeting. “Boss” Lion Jess Irwin reminded the members of several important events that occurred on April 18. In 1783, fighting ceased in the American Revolution. The old Yankee Stadium (“The House That Ruth Built”) opened in 1923 and the Yankees beat their arch rival, the Boston Red Sox.
