Nearly 100 people attended the Mason County Historical Commission presentation on Sunday, April 23rd at the Eckert Community Center. Guest speaker was Dr. Matthew Tippens of New Braunfels sharing from his book, “Turning Germans into Texans: World War I and the Assimilation and Survival of German Culture in Texas, 1900-1930).
