Karla Held, a native Texan, is a certified ACA (American Canoe Assoc.) white water kayak and Stand Up Paddle board instructor. She currently guides and instructs on the Llano, San Marcos, Guadalupe and Medina Rivers in Texas, and has previously guided on the Nantahala and Tuckasegee Rivers of North Carolina, the Deerfield River of Massachusetts and the Hiwassee River of Tennessee.
