Late last week, as storm clouds brewed over the Gulf of Mexico, another storm was brewing on the north side of the square at the Mason Square Museum. A caller notified the News that the Museum had removed a portrait of General Robert E. Lee. The News was further told that many of the volunteer docents were choosing to end their service at the facility in response to the move. The News contacted Dennis Evans who is on the board of the Square Museum, and he provided the following statement: ...
