Valera Wanda Jeffrey Slaughter passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017, in Austin, Texas. She was born on January 18, 1930, in Austin to Letha Black Jeffrey and Ira Cheston Jeffrey. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Archie Howard Slaughter, parents, and step-mother, Alice Biddy Jeffrey.
