The Lion’s Roar
The Mason Lions Club met January 30 for its weekly luncheon meeting. 33 members and today’s speaker attended the meeting. “Boss” Lion Jim Heidelberg told the members on January 30, 1933 the original Lone Ranger radio program commenced in Detroit. On this day in 1948, an assassin shot and killed non-violent civil disobedience advocate, Mahatma Gandhi, at a large mansion in central New Delhi. Lion John Palacio sponsored today’s speaker, Chad Barnett, of the Mason Recycle Center.
