Support Commissioner Sue Pledger has a heart for this community, and has given many years of service including finding a rent free home, along with a group of friends, for the Mason Ministerial Alliance Food Bank. Also, a number of prior attempts have been made to establish a nursing home in Mason, and to date, all of them have been unsuccessful for one reason or another.
