It has been years since many of the streams in Mason County have flooded outside their normal stream channels. For just as many years, dry conditions and drought have caused a die off of trees along those stream beds and waterways. The small floods we have had were never quite enough to raise the water high enough to reach all that debris, so it continued to accumulate, year after year. Then, on Sunday night and on into Monday morning, Telegraph and Junction got eight to ten inches of rain.
